With the photo shoot just one week away, the fashion department is a flurry of students working nonstop to perfect their masterpieces. I met with Sharon, Tess, and Eve once more to see how their projects are coming together – take a look!

Sharon has made a lot of progress in the last week: she has completed her skirt, decided on the perfect swatch for the fabric of her shirt, and almost completed her sweater. Her last task is to create a binder filled with swatches and pictures to show the endless possibilities in knitwear.

Tess’s skirt and top for the 2000s is almost complete! Just a few finishing touches and her garment will be ready for the photo shoot. For her 80s look, she has created patterns in muslin for both the skirt and the shirt in order to pin down the exact details of the look. Her next step is translating these patterns onto her final fabrics.

Eve has shifted her attention from the skirt she was working on last week to the top. This will also be 80s themed and will take shape as a pink silk top with kimono sleeves. This will be made out of silk so Eve is making a structured bodice to give it a more defined shape.

These students are quickly approaching their final products! The photo shoot will showcase their creations along with the interpretations of several other students. It will be held at 4:30 PM on December 7th – make sure you don’t miss the chance to see the results of all their hard work!
